The Texas Ranger is another strong Major League baseball’s team which based in Arlington since 1972 and has established in the year 1961 as an expansion franchise. The Rangers are the professional baseball team representing the Dallas-Ft. Worth metropolitan area. The Rangers are a member of the Western Division of MLB’s American League. The team name originates from the famous law enforcement agency by the same name. The Rangers are one of the three Major League franchises which have never played in a World Series.

The Manager of the team is Ron Washington and General Manager is Jon Daniels. The Colors of the team are blue, red and white. The Rangers have won 3,657 games and lost 4,134 over their history, they are the oldest franchise in all of four major American pro sports. The Rangers have won one play off game and never appeared in the League’s championship.

The latest of the Rangers 2010 season will be the 50th season in the franchise history and they will be competing to win the Al west for the first time since 1999.
